About This Project

We surely had fun creating this video for CEEBA. It’s a part of their “Med Pearls” project exploring touristic areas around the Mediterranean.

The Lakes Edku and Mariout, in Alexandria, Egypt, is an important natural for migratory birds and the conservation of the Egyptian flora, that extends along the Egyptian Mediterranean coast. The lakes are partially surrounded by Arab-Bedouin tribes and local fishermen communities who have long been known for their unique culture-preserved lifestyles and especially for their authentic oriental cuisine.

Furthermore, Lake Mariout is also surrounded by ancient tombs and is well known for its isolated yet extremely welcoming monasteries. In these ones, visitors have the chance to discover locally crafted goods, harvested or handmade by the residing nuns and monks.
